The Practical Driving Test
The driving test itself is generally around 45 minutes long and consists of general driving and the performing of two maneouvers. You will be taken out by a DSA examiner and they are responsible for marking you on the test. Only once the test has finished will the examiner tell you if you have passed.
The test does not vary for manual or automatic cars. The same standard of driving is expected for both types of vehicle. Where possible your instructor will prepare you for the particular test centre your test will take place at, including driving some of the routes that may be used.
